CLASS OF 2002 GRADUATE COMMENTS

I would urge friends to join my program because the quality of education that University of Iowa offers is great. I do not imagine that such a good system can be surpassed as far as the quality of academic quality is concerned. Also, if you know how to work the alumni database and contacts that the school has, landing a good job is very much possible. -- Marketing

The small size of the program allowed a level of collegiality that I never expected but was delighted to find. In addition, the faculty is not only solid educators but also take a personal interest in the success of the students. -- Healthcare Administration

The school has a lot of merits such as close-knit relations with faculty and classmates, low costs of studying and living, and quality teaching. -- Central Government

Everything I hoped to achieve by going to law school ten years ago didn't materialize until I came to Iowa's Tippie MBA program. I have gone from complete career despair to landing my dream job, which I neither would have been qualified for, nor learned about, without this program. This place has rescued my career. Also, it was a totally exhilarating experience, both in working with amazingly talented classmates and experiencing significant personal skill development. I can't thank Iowa enough. -- Nonprofit

I would urge friends to enroll in the MBA program at The University of Iowa because the program provides an enormous opportunity for personal and professional growth. This opportunity is particularly strong at Iowa due to the high level of interaction between students, faculty, and administration inside and outside the classroom. Compared to other schools I considered attending, this level of interaction is unsurpassed. -- Finance

The associate dean is extremely responsive to students' concerns. The professors are extremely accessible. The team projects are extensive and effective. The atmosphere is professional and enjoyable. The finance department is especially strong. The students are extremely helpful. There is very little, if any, negative competition in this program. Overall, it has been an incredible experience. I would recommend this program to anyone. -- Human Resources

The experience I had in the MBA program is what I could never imagine before. As an foreign student, having this precious international experience in United States itself worth the tuition and lost earnings. But I think I should be able to accomplish more if I had enrolled in a bigger MBA program in areas with more businesses. -- Information Technology

The smaller class size at the University of Iowa fosters a strong relationship amongst students, professors, and alumni. The program is very well organized and admits high caliber individuals from across the world. The environment at Iowa is competitive and encourages students to excel in their interests. -- Finance

The Tippie program suffers from the lack of good and meaningful relationship with businesses and has a very poor placement office. Most of this could be attributed to the fact that Iowa City is not located close to a large business center. However, I see no reason why the school cannot develop a good rapport with businesses in Chicago, Minnieapolis, St. Louis, Kansas City, etc. -- Finance

The admissions and MBA programs office at the University of Iowa is well organized and provides exceptional service to applicants and students. The MBA building is new and well equiped with the latest technology, such as wireless Web access throughout the building. Students also have access to gain experience on the Iowa Electronics Market (IEM) which simulates buying and selling contracts on an electronic exchange. -- Finance

I received a quality education at Iowa, which allowed me to achieve my goal of obtaining my ideal position upon graduation. Iowa's MBA program was a fantastic return on investment. -- Anonymous
