CLASS OF 2002 GRADUATE COMMENTS

The Terry College is not only a great bargain, but also a program on the rise. With a small class size, students can form close relationships with faculty, administrators, and fellow classmates. This helps students realize more value from the MBA experience. Lastly, students from Terry often compete for the same jobs as MBAs from Virginia, Wharton, Duke, and UNC. So while we pay less for tuition, we get more out of our program and are compensated just as highly as the schools with better rankings. -- Finance

The UGA program is excellent for the money. Assistantships are readily available making the cost extremely low. The campus and community is a great place to be. The only draw back is that you will not have access to many high profile employers like big banks. -- Finance

Like any MBA program, Terry has strengths and weaknesses. I think the stronger aspects are the willingness of professors and administrators to go the extra-mile for students. In addition, the small class size really allowed me to get to know all classmates well. However, the small class size poses problems for recruiting and companies not wanting to come to Athens to only see a limited number of candidates. The material taught was relevant and Athens is a great college town. -- Finance

The Terry MBA is an excellent way to advance your career or change career paths, without having to take on massive amounts of debt. Most of us will increase our pre-MBA earnings by at least 50% and will have relatively little debt. This value, in addition to the outstanding curriculum and professional development programs, has made the Terry MBA an outstanding investment. Plus, the people are great and it's a lot of fun! -- Nonprofit

Fantastic program with a diverse group of individuals coming together to share professional experience, draw knowledge from a top-notch faculty, and given support by an excellent administrative staff. -- Consulting

It has been a great learning opportunity. The class sizes are small, the faculty very friendly and experts in their fields, and above all the school provides financial support to cover almost all of your expenses. I have earned a world class MBA and landed my dream job without spending a dime of my own!!! Great value for money!!!! -- Marketing

The Terry MBA Program is designed for success. The professors have made themselves readily available to meet their students needs, and the workload, for the most part is applicable to what their students will do after graduation. Because the program is not big, it makes it ideal for quality attention to be given to the students, making the tool set that I have received much more usable and efficient. -- Naval Logistics

Athens, Georgia is an excellent place to go to graduate school. The facilities are fantastic, and it has a great college atmosphere. I highly recommend this program to my friends and business contacts who are considering coming back to school for their MBAs. -- Real Estate

The Terry College of Business offers an exceptional value for the money. The sense of community, both within the Terry College and the University of Georgia, is invaluable. Everytime I have contacted an alum, I have received a warm welcome and a sincere effort to assist me. The interactions, commitment, and dedication of the faculty, staff, and students was unparalleled. -- Information Technology

The program provided me with all of the expectations I had, and then some. I gained not only additional knowledge but other skills that are not usually attributed to an educational curriculum. -- Finance

Terry offers an excellent program that is flexible to students goals, focuses on both technical as well as interpersonal skills, and provides a platform for growth and networking all in a short period. I feel I received more from this program than I ever expected, and would highly recommend anyone to pursue the same path. -- Finance
