CLASS OF 2002 GRADUATE COMMENTS

Cambridge offers several differentiators. First, the international make-up of the program is incredible. With almost 80% international students, the course's diversity is its core strength. Next, the diversity of student experience is also outstanding -- we have engineers, consultants, non-profit people, and more. You learn as much from your classmates as you do from your lecturers. Finally, being in Cambridge for a year is an experience not to be missed. The University dominates the town and submerges you in an intellectually-stimulating environment, while also providing every opportunity to go out and have LOTS OF FUN! I would recommend this program highly. -- Anonymous

This year at Cambridge has been one of the best in my life, and has given me such confidence and motivation to re-enter the workplace with fresh skills, and a global network of contacts. I would recommend the Judge to anyone wanting a highly international experience -- the cross cultural skills developed are significant. -- Marketing

The people, the environment, the university, the city, and the structure of the course are fantastic! Very colaborative and familiar! Everything happens here and the brand opens many doors. -- Marketing

The Cambridge MBA attracts a very diverse and intelligent cross section of individuals. This, combined with the superb facilities, location and good course structure, provides an excellent opportunity to learn and explore new possibilities. It is particularly good for entrepreneurialism. -- Consulting

It's a great one-year program with talented faculty and students. Four other aspects that stand out to me are: the atmosphere of cooperation in the program, the openness to more mature students, the availability of entrepreneurship training, and the fantastic building. It's a pleasure to be come in to study (except for the hard work of course!). -- Information Technology

The program caters to people with broader interests and would not appeal to those who have a focused desire to address specific areas such as finance. In addition, the youth of the program means that it does not have such a well-established network that can be useful for future career development. -- Nonprofit

The Cambridge MBA is a more collaborative and group-based MBA, especially the class size is small compared to most well-known B-schools. Also, the mix of the class is very international, with a smaller proportion of British and American [students]. Social contact and group work allowed me to gain international exposure and to learn from colleagues with different backgrounds. Such an atmosphere would not be achievable in more competitive, big, American style B-schools. In addition, Cambridge is particularly suitable for people who would like to work in Europe or in the high-tech sector. It is close to London and the Science Park. -- Accounting

The Cambridge MBA will become one of the very best MBAs in the world, however the course is still a little immature at present. The teaching needs to be brought up a level and the facilities expanded to manage next year's 50% larger class size. The approach is aggressive, but the right ingredients are there to make this something really special. -- Consulting

The experience of being part of Cambridge University is totally unique and I don't know of any other MBA programme that is like it. Being surrounded by 800 years of traditions, beautiful architecture, amazing countryside, etc. makes the learning experience so much richer. I certainly had a fit body and fit mind from running in the English countryside. Being affiliated with a college is also great to have a form of escape to relax, as an MBA can be all consuming at times. The small class size, and its highly international nature are also big distinctions -- I now have close friends all over the world. The networking benefits from this I'm sure will be enormous. The building itself of the Judge Institute is an amazing place to work -- it totally supports the colloborative environment of the school with its open design. -- Marketing

I think the Judge attracts the right kind of students and I am sure that as they gain more experience, they will emerge as one of the top schools in the world. -- Finance

Cambridge University has a tremendous amount to offer in addition to the MBA. The local high-tech economy and proximity to London are also a great asset. I am sure rankings for the MBA program here will grow to refelect that it is a top-tier program offering all the benefits and more of the recognized U.S. top schools. Where else can you go row in the morning, study as part of a truly exceptional international MBA program, working with leading high tech and venture capital firms, attend a lecture by Stephen Hawking on the origins of the universe, and then go to a formal black tie dinner in a college that is 500-plus years old, and, still find something to do in the early hours if you have the energy? -- Venture Capital/Private Equity

The year was outstanding. The duration of one-year was just right given the opportunity cost -- priced right, given returns post graduation. The program was challenging across the board and very team orientated. [There was an] outstanding international group of people on the course. Cambridge lifestyle could not be surpassed by another program in the world. The Cambridge University network will be one of the leading networks -- definitely in the UK and possibly globally as well. The brand name is outstanding. -- Entrepreneurship
