Tulane's EMBA program was excellent. It provided both a broad overview covering multiple functions, as well as targeted courses in the areas of business and finance that were very applicable to my business environment.--Compliance
The program was excellent, it had a great balance between the amount of work and the timetable to complete the program. The professors were very professional and wanted the students to succeed in the program and were willing to work after hours to make you successful. But the greatest element of the program was the students, they added so much to the program with their real-life experiences.--Operations
The Tulane EMBA program has an international focus and that is so important in today's environment. Not many other schools in the area offer that to the students.--Finance
As a New Orleans resident I could not find a better, more convenient program. After my GMAT I was contacted by several programs (including Wharton) who wanted me to apply for their executive programs. The extra expense plus the travel time that would have been involved with an out-of- state program led to my decision to only apply to Tulane.--Real Estate Investment/Development
I do not believe any other program would have the quality of student that Tulane recruits. In addition, there are no other schools in my corner of the country that can rival the University's reputation, quality of faculty, and alumni network.--Management
[Faculty strengths/weaknesses?] Strengths were obvious in the professors that could get the class involved in the discussion and eager to participate. Weaknesses were obvious in professors that strictly lectured, seemingly unaware of the class members' level of understanding or interest level of the material.--Operations
[Faculty strengths/weaknesses?] The instructors were very knowledgeable in the area of their expertise. They took the time to help everyone in the class, making sure all students felt comfortable with the material.--Operations
[Faculty strengths/weaknesses?] Their industry experience in their respective fields allowed them to relate to us as peers and closely tie the coursework to our job functions.--Account Management
[Faculty strengths/weaknesses?] Tulane chooses only its best to teach the EMBA courses. They are excellent teachers with great academic reputations. Their weakness might be an inability to cover all of the material for each course. The instructors, who are visiting instructors, do not seem to expect the volume of work and quality of work that the Tulane EMBA student produces.--Management
[Changes to program?] The curriculum relied heavily on the use of business cases. An introductory course on how to properly prepare, use, and learn from a business case would have helped with the learning curve.--Manufacturing
[Changes to program?] If there were more guest speakers with real-world experience, this would have made the program a little bit better. --Operations
[Improvements?] Parking and lockers could have been improved. We were thrown in like in our undergrad days, and had to park in a garage that was miles away. We were not provided with lockers, and the parking passes that were provided were for Thursday -- Saturday, so we couldn't even park at all during the week for study sessions.--Compliance
[Improvements?] My day-to-day experiences were phenomenal. I can't say enough about how efficiently and effectively Tulane's EMBA office handled our day-to-day experiences. I can't see how this can be improved; it was excellent.--Project Management
[Corporate support?] I elected to attend the program in order to further develop my managerial and professional skills therefore I did not expect my company to better support my time. I am very fortunate in that my company gave me the utmost support throughout the program.--Finance
[Corporate support?] The company views the program as a viable option for education, but a few employees are reluctant to pursue an Executive education due to minimal reimbursement (less than 2%).--Accounting
[Improvements?] I think the lack of career services hurts the program; the rationale is that companies will be reluctant to give support if there is placement. However, the school should be able to offer placement to students who are paying their own way.--Operations
Excellent program. I thank my company for sponsoring me, and feel that I will be a better leader and employee as a result of completing the Tulane EMBA program. They fostered an excellent sense of camaraderie and knowledge sharing amongst the students, and also provided world-caliber instruction and facilities, including a top-notch international seminar.--Compliance
The entire experience changed the way I look at my career. I used to think I knew what I wanted to do but, after seeing the other possible career paths, I am now evaluating options that I never new existed.--Manufacturing
