CAREERS

The B-school offers EMBA students access to its career services office? Yes

The B-school allows its EMBA students to interview on campus with corporate recruiters targeting executives for full-time jobs? No
School policy:EMBA students are provided with career management counselling, if they request it. However, the Katz school takes its obligations to corporate sponsors very seriously and does not encourage corporate recruiters to approach its EMBA students.
ALUMNI AFFAIRS

The B-school has awarded 1200 executive MBA degrees, and 14,099 MBA degrees since its founding. It has 13,890 living MBA alumni, and 6 MBA clubs throughout 6 countries, where B-school alums can participate in school activities and alumni events.

32 EMBAs will graduate in 2003, compared to 37 EMBAs that graduated in 1998.

During the past 12 months, 17% of alumni gave to the school's fundraising efforts. They gave a median gift of U.S. n/a, and a mean gift of U.S. n/a. The school has not received a gift in excess of U.S. $10 million between Jan. 2001 and Oct. 2003, and the B-school endowment is U.S. $25,000,000


PROGRAM CHANGES

Significant changes since 2001:
Improved course sequencing; international residency split into two shorter sessions; residencies spread out; increased opportunity for specialization through elective courses; additional opportunities for integration with oversees EMBA peers.
TECHNOLOGY

Wireless network in main buildings: No

School's investment in technology over the past three years: $1,500,000

Technology changes made over the past three years:
The school created 18 fully ported, dedicated MBA team rooms providing maximum laptop connectivity. Major classrooms were upgraded to provide state-of-the-art audio/visual equipment and heavy Internet connectivity. The laptop program and support was expanded to keep pace with today's P4 mobile, ultralight notebooks, Windows XP based technologies. The PC-based administration support system was replaced with an Oracle based client server administrative system, using Web-based access and supporting an online inquiry and application system. The school installed Bloomberg terminal services in the Business Library. The Finance Database access was expanded to WRDS (Wharton Research Data Services) program providing ready access via the Web.
