2003 GRADUATE COMMENTS

George Washington University provided an excellent experience with dynamic instructors coupled with the services that eliminated the hassle of attending school while maintaining a normal workload.--Finance

The George Washington University Executive MBA program provided me with the tools, knowledge, and leadership skills necessary to become a highly effective executive within my organization. I would definitely select GWU if I had to do it again as the faculty and program of study have already made a significant difference in advancing my career.--Product Development

The curriculum was challenging and interesting. My classmates were top-notch from great organizations and brought a tremendous amount of energy to the class each day. The professors were leaders in the subject matter they tought. Many were involved in well-renowned national organizations including the government.--Manufacturing

GWU is close geographically, has an excellent faculty, has a global outlook, and the student body was diverse. The program allowed the expertise the students bring to the classroom to be utilized in the classroom.--Pastor

[Faculty strengths/weaknesses?] The instructors went to great length to provide current case studies and to utilize the experiences of well diversified student body which brought a practical aspect to the lessons learned.--Finance

[Faculty strengths/weaknesses?] The strengths were often best displayed in their recognition of the strengths of the students-- many of them had invaluable real world experience to share -- and that enriched the classroom experience. Weaker professors might have been intimidated by these contributions or would have stuck to a preprinted syllubus, never taking advantage of the resources in the classroom.--Media Relations/Public Affairs

[Changes to program?] The use of more high-tech video equipment would have improved the classroom experience. Some professors like to display information and write at the same time. The classroom set-up did not easily allow for that.--Information Technology

[Improvements?] The administrative function of EMBA program was excellent. [I] never had to worry about registering for classes, picking up books, or whether an assignment was forwarded to a professor. EMBA program had 3-4 administrative assistants assigned to work only with the program (recuitment, scheduling, logistics, and problems).--Fraud Detection

[Corporate support?] My company was very supportive. Many people pitched in as best as they could to cover my workload during the program. I would have preferred to take a regular MBA and work part time, but this benefit is not offered.--Engineering

[Corporate support?] Company overall did an excellent job with flextime and financial support.--Information Systems

The GW EMBA program is a top-notch program taught and administered by excellent professionals. The mature faculty was keenly in tune with the bleeding edge in each respective field. As a result of being a part of the GW EMBA program it has vastly improved my professional life as well as my personal life.--Strategy

The most rewarding experience was interacting with such a high level of professionals and talent from several different industries and disciplines. The GWU program was also very aligned with the government atmosphere of Washington, D.C. We got to visit directors from several government agencies in their offices, eg. FTC, the Senate, the World Bank, and others. This was an opportunity that few other EMBA programs could muster.--Manufacturing

After finishing an EMBA program, I asked myself, what did I gain? I was unsure as to how to respond, however, one of my employees best described it by stating that as a manager I have grown substantially and the MBA honed my skills as a leader.--Finance
