This program provided the best value for the dollar, with some of the best teachers, at a price $20K cheaper than the most expensive local program.--IT
GSU provided an incredible opportunity for me to increase my business knowledge. As a result of getting my degree, I'm being given the opportunity to advance my career to the level of vice-president. The staff, professors, and University's guidance were fabulous.--Operations
The program was very suited for my life as a husband and father of three, with the youngest being one at the time the program started, and a full-time job. The environment was pro learning, and the team atomsphere was greatly appreciated. The staff and faculty opened themselves up to the student and provided an avenue for open communications. All of those things made the rigorous time more beneifical to me.--Sales/Marketing
I was pleased with the overall experience and felt I got a lot of "bang for my buck." Some of the professors are people I plan on keeping in touch with for a long time down the road.--Project Management
[Faculty strengths/weaknesses?] I found all but a few of the professors to be exceptional. The program was not all about theory. It was more about practice and putting the knowledge to work and applying it real-world problems. Only a few had the problem of lecturing too much and not allowing for classroom interaction.--Finance
[Faculty strengths/weaknesses?] The professors at Georgia State were well versed in their subject matter, drew upon their personal experiences, and used real-time examples to reinforce their subject matter.--Marketing
[Faculty strengths/weaknesses?] The quality of the instructors in the core classes was excellent. They were able to tie together concepts from functional classes into a methodology that enabled you to develop and execute business strategies. A weakness of the program revolved around the team concept. There wasn't a process in place to move to another team if severe personality conflicts impeded your ability to receive the full benefit of the program.--Accounting
Most of the instructors brought real-life, practical knowledge to the theoretical learning process. Although the professors were faculty members, many worked outside of academia, and that experience added to the learning process for me.--Project Management
[Changes to program?] More time to prepare. The nature of an executive program is that there isn't enough time to go deep on any particular subject.--Marketing
[Changes to program?] I would have switched the teams around every semester. I feel like we would have benefited from interacting with different people in the team environment.--Project Management
[Improvements?] More scheduled "family" time or events. This would help to balance our family life with our education environment.--Marketing
[Improvements?] Better coordination between the staff and the students. Too much time was wasted on minor decision-making, and important issues were often not resolved in a timely fashion.--Finance
[Corporate support?] My company supported me totally in my pursuit of my MBA. They provided me the flexibility to attend classes and provided financial assistance.--Operations
Overall the program was a positive experience. GA State did a good job of making the program flow so that the classes at the beginning of the program were built on throughout the later classes.--Finance
