Technology changes made over the past three years:
The School has standardized desktop environment for every student & staff in all computers to enable them to access content and information in a homogenous manner in the campus. Network drives are given to all staff & students' network folders so that they could access their files from any computer without the need of carrying diskettes. By the implementation of terminal services, the school enables students & staff to access the applications across the network conveniently.
The School has revamped and improved its web sites. Student, staff, alumni and public portals are created to build strong community and information networks for each of the stakeholders. The School has also created web-based applications to present staff personal information and profile consistently on our web sites. To improve its processes, the School has leveraged on web applications to deliver facilities booking, update staff profile and publish events/seminars/news online.
The School is also working aggressively on e-learning over the last few years. 86% undergraduate courses and more than 68% MBA courses are already online. A number of the courses have online tests and most courses use discussion boards to enhance the learning process.
The infrastructure has been upgraded over the last 3 years to improve availability and performance of IT services. Clustering, Load Balancing with Storage Area Networks with Lan-Less backups are implemented recently to improve the availability and reliability of the online services.
The School has also worked with vendors to provide students with cashless self-served printing kiosks to meet their printing needs and has also increased the number of computer laboratories to graduate students to cater to the growing demands of the students.
