CLASS OF 2002 GRADUATE COMMENTS

Madison is a top school, which costs less than most of its peers. The people are friendly and intelligent. Younger teachers make their names and reputations at schools like Madison. They therefore put in a lot of time and effort, which shows in their superior teaching. -- Finance

I had a wonderful experience. I was in a program that offered a lot of guidance and help in terms of contacts with alumni and corporations, was able to get involved in a lot of school activities, met outstanding people from all over the world, and got a good education for the money in a great city. -- Marketing Research

I cannot think of a better experience to date in my career that delivers the most benefit to my future success. The environment at the UW-Madison Graduate School of Business is one that fosters diverse and innovative learning and thinking. -- Marketing

UW has an excellent entrepreneurship program, called the WAVE program. With excellent resources and funding, the WAVE program provided me with rich educational and practical experiences to start up my own company. -- Entrepreneurship

The faculty, staff, and administration went beyond the call of duty to serve student's needs and were very responsive to recommendations for improvements. The public and private community is very open to student projects and welcomed us at the city, state, and government levels. -- Information Technology

This MBA program challenged me academically and provided real-world experience. I had the opportunity to take classes and see speakers I did not have the opportunity to see at my previous MBA school. Additionally, the tuition is very cheap compared to the quality of education I received. I truly believe I received a lot from this program. -- Finance

The program was perfect for my fellow students and myself. The specialty programs like Marketing Research, Entrepreneurship, and ACFIN allow students to concentrate on a subject and then apply those things to a real-life application. This format is much more rewarding than pure theoretical or case learning. -- Consulting

UW-Madison funds its top students. Instead of coming out of school with debt, I am coming out with a savings account still intact. I interned beside Harvard MBA’s and will work beside them in my full time job. I feel the return at Madison was a much better deal. How do you beat free school that in the end got me the same job as the people paying $30,000-plus in tuition every year! -- Consulting

The payback is exceptional, and the costs are minimal when compared to other schools. This is undoubtedly one of the best bargains when it comes to B-schools. -- Marketing

UW-Madison has a good MBA program overall, but it has OUTSTANDING niche applied programs such as Real Estate, Marketing Research (Nielsen), Supply Chain Management, Finance (ASAP), or Entrepreneurship (WAVE). I was part of the Entrepreneurship program and I am starting my own company with a classmate of mine. The vast array of resources, knowledge, sources of financing, and key contacts that the program has provided us with have been invaluable in order for us to start the venture. I recommend to anybody that has a desire to start a business of their own to join this program. -- Entrepreneurship
