CLASS OF 2002 GRADUATE COMMENTS

The MBA program at Texas A&M offers great return on investment. It has the lowest MBA tuition among top B-schools in the U.S., yet it is a high-quality business education program and is highly respected by lots of world-famous companies. -- Finance

For the overall cost of the program and living expenses, you cannot beat it anywhere in the country. No, it’s not a Harvard education, but it has done most of us just fine when interviewing with Fortune companies. -- Marketing

Every program has its merits. I would definitely recommend the Mays program to anyone interested in energy finance, real estate, information systems, or public administration. I would recommend the program to others, too. I know they would receive a great education, but their job search will be tougher as the Mays program is still building its reputation. -- Finance

The Mays Program is a "small" program in a "big" school. The educational resources are excellent, but the amenities, administration, and corporate support are lacking. -- Finance

My experience could not have been better. Every concern or problem I raised with the administration was thoroughly and promptly addressed. I believe the quality of my education was second-to-none. The curriculum was well thought out, the professors were very competent and engaging, and most of my classmates contributed constructively to the learning process. -- Entrepreneurship

The Mays MBA program is a good program for the investment. The class size is small enough to feel personal, yet large enough to attract recruiters and demand a presence. I enjoyed my time here and value the connections I have made. -- Human Resources

The first year was a great experience. The core professors were very attentive and interested in the students learning the material. The program administration, however, seems more concerned with its own agenda and does not want to take into account student input. The career services department needs to be revamped completely. I feel they are understaffed and need to utilize personal contacts much more and, much more effectively. -- Information Technology

The teamwork required to get through our program taught me so much about dealing with people and adversity. These skills are the most difficult to teach, yet the most important for future success. -- Finance

I believe that Texas A&M is making tremendous efforts to sustain a tier-two business school. The reorganization of the Business Program is a proactive effort to mold the program into a leading new age leadership engine. With a new Dean, and more focus on the MBA program, the school rankings are sure to rise. -- Operations

Once the administration of the Mays MBA program is as of high a caliber as the faculty, we will be among the best MBA programs in the nation. I feel confident that in my area, management, I can hold my own with the brightest the country has to offer. This is directly attributable, in many ways, to the education I received at the Mays MBA program. -- Management
