School's investment in technology over the past three years: $1,875,400

Technology changes made over the past three years:
The school added the "dot Learn" student and faculty portal system. The school currently operates four student computer laboratories: A main laboratory with 70 individual workstations; a special-use teaching lab, a Mobile Laptop Wireless Lab, and the Reliant Energy Trading Center. The school installed additional cameras, microphones, DVD/video capability, and electronic whiteboards in classrooms. PC Computers are replaced every three years (next upgrade -- summer 2002). Multi-media LCD projectors are replaced every three years or as technology warrants. The school installed wireless network access in common areas, introduced a web-based email system, and upgraded server connections to 1GB.
