I found the University of Illinois to be a great environment in which to learn. The faculty are outstanding, and the modular nature of the courses provided a strong background in just about all the different business disciplines. Additionally, the affiliation with the Kauffman Internship Program made it possible to put class work to use even while in the program. This was very helpful to me, as I did not come from a business background. -- Finance
The University of Illinois MBA program performs a vital function in that it packages all of the necessary skills and mindsets from a host of different business and academic perspectives into a single package readily usable by any MBA graduate. No manager in today's workforce should be without such a degree. And, although I will be primarily working within the legal field, I will still be able to utilize my MBA training to better understand and anticipate the needs of potential clients. -- Attorney

I really feel this program has many very strong assets. However, it also has several problems as well, mostly on the administrative end. The new leadership within this program has made some very encouraging promises, and based upon their past experiences, they have the capability to succeed. Illinois will be a good program to keep an eye on for the next few years. -- Operations

UIUC is in a tough situation of being located in rural Midwest. Most recruiters are going to look for prospects in the coasts. Either on the West (UCLA, Berkeley, Stanford) or the East (Harvard, Yale, Princeton). In the Midwest there are several good programs in Chicago. So few employers will focus attention to east central Illinois. -- Anonymous
The Illinois MBA program is an excellent value for the cost, at least for in-state tuition. They are changing the curriculum to meet some of the requests for change from the last two or three MBA classes. These changes, along with the addition of permanent deans for both the MBA and the College of Business, should improve the program greatly over the next 2-3 years. -- Marketing
