CLASS OF 2002 GRADUATE COMMENTS

The GW experience is an all-inclusive education. The diverse backgrounds of the students, the calibre of the faculty, the resources of the university, and the connections to public and private enterprises around Washington make GW a rewarding education. -- Finance

At GW, there are so many options to choose from that one can tailor the MBA program to particular needs. The workload is enough to challenge the brain everyday but not so much that it doesn’t allow you to have a life. Great balance. -- Retail

Overall, I really enjoyed my MBA experience at GW. I didn't want a cutthroat program and GW was the perfect fit for me. I took full advantage of everything offered. I believe there is lots to be learned outside the classroom as well. Networking and being involved in student organizations are still important on the graduate level. I think the more involved you are, the more you get out of the program. -- Marketing

GW is a great place, with an excellent location, faculty, diverse students, and well structured courses. If only they could improve their career center. I have no doubt that this school is the best in the DC area. -- Venture Capital/Private Equity

Since graduating with a degree in business administration in 1995, I knew I wanted to gain additional business skills. My interests were in options, futures, real estate, entrepreneurship, and electronic marketing. I was able to get these skills from excellent professors at GWU. Not only did I get the skills, but I've also had a great time. -- Finance

I would urge people in the IT industry to get the MBA in order to understand what is the real goal. I thought that GW's MBA program was very good at helping me get a better handle on understanding how the pieces work together. -- Information Technology

Good education system, outstanding programs and professors. Proximity to the heart of politics and business. Diversified student body. -- Finance

My experience was a very good one -- all the contributing factors taught me how to think differently and forced me to use the tools I learned about in class to solve problems and think using these new methods. The faculty and staff also went out of their way to make sure the experience was a very good one. -- Marketing

The GW MBA full-time program has come a long way in the last few years. Overall, the experience was extremely satisfying. The first year is significantly more challenging than the second. The quality of the professors and courses was higher the first year in the cohort system. The integration with part-time students during the second year was difficult and frustrating. I feel that full-time students were superior students. -- Marketing

The program at GWU provided me the opportunity to take every class I knew I wanted to take in a full-time MBA program. The program office takes time to know every student and worked with me on an individual level to assure that I was able to meet my academic and real life goals. The professors are extremely knowledgable in their fields of study and encourage students to persue their individual goals. Many of my best freinds are people I met during my first year at GWU. Here you will have the opportunity to meet the movers and shakers of government and business. The Global Leadership program is a great example. Through it, I was able to visit the Sweedish Embassy, talk with Wall Street analyst Ms. Abby Joseph-Cohen, and meet Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer. -- Finance
