Editor's Note: BusinessWeek collected graduate comments in 2000 during its ranking of full-time MBA programs. The next ranking is scheduled for fall, 2002.
Wake Forest is a great university, and its small size and dedicated professors combine to provide a truly unique and exceptional experience. The integrated curriculum really builds throughout the two years and provides an exceptional set of tools and improved ability to attack any business issue. --Consulting

The past two years have been wonderful, and I would do it again knowing how much it has enriched my life. Having pursued an undergraduate degree in biology, the MBA degree from Babcock is indispensable to my career development. Babcock's 3/38 Plan, mentor program, and the school's obvious commitment to technology were especially appealing. Its innovative and refined curriculum helped me develop an integrated understanding of business functions and strengthened managerial competencies, while encouraging interaction with business leaders and top students. Henry Ford once commented that the only real security a person can have in this world is a reserve of knowledge, experience, and ability. At Babcock, I combined my practical business skills with the theoretical depth provided by an MBA degree. This winning combination helped me obtain a career combining finance with management and strategy. I could not ask for anything more. --Finance
For the most part, Babcock's faculty members demonstrate a genuine concern for the students. The professors' "approachability," combined with an extensive knowledge of their subject matter, make them Babcock's greatest asset. I am certain that I can return to them for guidance in the future, but I am also certain that the time I spent with them in classes and individual conversations will provide me with a solid foundation for my business career. --Finance
The majority of the professional staff at my school are outstanding, and I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to learn from them. The operations department, however, does not come close to meeting expectations in many areas including teaching ability and responsiveness to students' concerns. I would recommend my MBA program to ANYONE concentrating in marketing, finance, entrepreneurship and/or general management but to NO ONE planning to concentrate in operations. --Marketing
Excellent experience. I would do it again in a heartbeat. --Marketing
The top faculty at Babcock are as good as you will find anywhere in the country. The small size allowed you to really learn from them, but that small size also hurt in recruiting new faculty and in getting companies to come on campus. --Marketing
I enjoyed my time at Babcock and would definitely repeat my choice. It was a mind-expanding journey, and the comraderie the students share is wonderful. I have enjoyed the small classroom settings, the abilty to interact freely with the professors and the visitors they bring, and gaining a wide breadth of knowledge. Although there are many students going outside Babcock's traditional geographic boundaries, the reach of the career services office is insufficient for students who wish to work outside the eastern seaboard. The new director of career services seems to be working very diligently towards correcting this. Babcock is on the path towards becoming a national school, but some areas still have a regional feel. --Finance
The School's close proximity to the School of Law, along with its JD/MBA program allowed students acess to the way in which law can affect business. While the proximity may have fomented a rivalry between the students, it was still a value that few other schools can match and the presence of law students in MBA classes (generally joint degree students) as well as MBA students in law classes and the few jointly offered classes helps to round the educations of future attorneys and business leaders. This awareness of the role of the law in business and the concerns of business toward the law will help students to adjust to a world where the line between business and law is all but erased. --Anonymous
While not understating the value of my technical learning, I feel that the Babcock School does an outstanding job of developing manangers not simply technicians. I applied to higher-ranked schools, however, after completing the program, I do not believe that those higher-ranked schools provide the same experience with respect to integrated cirriculum, individal attention, and leadership opportunity and development assistance. --Entrepreneurship
Getting my MBA from Wake was one of the best decisions I ever made. The program is not perfect but continually seeks feedback to make improvements. I learned more than I ever thought -- not buzz words but ideas and concepts that can be applied to every situation. Most importantly, I learned how to look at issues in many different ways. Finally, the student body was very non competitive which I really appreciated. I always knew I could ask any classmate or faculty member for assistance. --Anonymous
