CLASS OF 2000 GRADUATE COMMENTS

Editor's Note: BusinessWeek collected graduate comments in 2000 during its ranking of full-time MBA programs. The next ranking is scheduled for fall, 2002.

The MBA program is probably the best decision I have made so far. At the beginning I saw it as an expense, but now I see the MBA as a really good investment in a professional career. I have developed my knowledge, as well as my personal skills, in an international environment, which has made myself more mature. I am really satisfied, and now I am a little bit sad, because everything is over. I wish the ESADE's MBA had another year!!! --Anonymous

The ESADE MBA Program has been a perfect academic complement to my engineering degree. In order to develop managerial skills has been definitive. --Operations

In addition the course work involved at ESADE, one needs to take in to consideration living and learning a bilingual environment is a very enriching experience. Some of the classes were bilingual as well- mixing Spanish speakers and English speakers in the same lecture. Students were encouraged to respond in the language they felt most comfortable with. Having completed my MBA here in Barcelona, I am perfectly capable of conducting business in North America, South America and selected areas of Northern and Southern Europe. Additionally, I have developed a heightened cultural awareness after having lived with two other MBA students for two years, both having different nationalities. The level of independence and self-confidence gained by investing two years of your life in a foreign country also adds value to the program. --Consulting

I did my exchange progam duriprogram last semester in a U.S. Business School. (Goizueta Business School took most of my elective courses, business plans and competitions abroad. --Anonymous

I can not give a real exposure about the ESADE Elective Program because I was on an exchange program at New York University. The calendar is very important for those MBA students that want to work in the summer of [the] first year. I strongly recommend ESADE to review the finish date of the first year because companies ask for three months internship, and ESADE only has two months break. --Consulting

At the current time, I still haven't received any job offers, mainly because of my citizenship and the tough inmigration. Currently, I am job searching in Colombia, where I arrived only a week ago. --Marketing

It was an exceptional experience to earn a B.A. interacting with high level students -- cultural and multinationality backgrounds. I had the opportunity to be interviewed by top level companies in several countries and to really internationalize my professional career. At the end of the MBA I obtained several job offers and had the possibility to chose from many interesting options. Now I have friends and good contacts from many nationalities and a good job! --Information Technology
