Distance courses offered or planned:
UCLA utilizes various Internet and distance-learning tools for program preparation and as a supplement to formal classroom teaching. Although the school feels the medium is not necessarily viable for all courses, particularly those that require intensive interaction between participants and faculty, the school feels it is an extremely effective tool for communicating with and between participants before, during, and after the program. Each program provides its own Intranet by which participants can download advance and classroom materials, share ideas with other participants, faculty and staff via bulletin boards and email, and complete class projects. Technology tools are also critical for pre-program preparation, post-program networking.
Plans to extend executive education offerings:
UCLA is in the process of expanding its custom program business. The school claims to be a flexible, client-driven organization that can provide quick solutions to customer needs. The school develops and delivers custom programs for client organizations anywhere in the world.
