The school does not currently offer distance learning. They are exploring options in this area to determine which courses make sense for distance/Internet learning. It does not believe that distance learning is viable for all types of courses as some subjects are better taught/learned with face-to-face contact with knowledgeable instructors and interactive, live group work.
Plans to extend executive education offerings:
SMU/COX is constantly changing its executive education portfolio to continue to offer cutting-edge topics as well as business basics. Also, the James M. Collins Executive Education Center will be constructed within the next two years which will contain state-of-the-art classrooms, break-out rooms, entertainment/catering space, and business facilities for executive education and EMBA participants.
