ALUMNI AFFAIRS

The B-school has awarded 1,093 executive MBA degrees, and 4,436 MBA degrees since its founding. It has 4,403 living MBA alumni, and 10 MBA clubs, where B-school alums can participate in school activities and alumni events.

57 EMBAs will graduate in 2001, compared to 50 EMBAs that graduated in 1996.

During the past 12 months, 20% of alumni gave to the school's fundraising efforts. They gave a median gift of U.S. $14,815, and a mean gift of U.S. $428. The school has not received a gift in excess of U.S. $10 million since 1999, and the B-school endowment is U.S. $41,074,043

Significant changes since 1999:
The school restructured the curriculum to a modular, fully integrated system. The program moved from 21 months, meeting every Saturday and one Friday each month, to 17 months meeting on alternate weekends. This better accommodates working professionals without sacrificing contact hours.

TECHNOLOGY

Wireless network in main buildings: No

School's investment in technology over the past three years: $1,822,500

Technology changes made over the past three years:
The school upgraded its audio/visual capabilities in all (13) classrooms (color touch pads, LCD projectors, document cameras, cameras in the back of the classroom to tape classes for students, and new VCRs). Interactive whiteboards were added to two locations. All printers were replaced and two new ones were added for students. The school established and implemented the "Capital Markets Training Center", a 24-seat financial trading simulation room. The "Babcock Demon Incubator", a nine-seat entrepreneurial facility, was also established. The school migrated from using an in-house proprietary admissions database to SRN, allowing for online registration and checking of grades. Significant changes to the school's Web site -- seating chart builder, online room reservation schedule, video streaming of visiting speakers, and the Career Management Center's online Cyber Job Fair -- were made.
