The students and the faculty are top-shelf. The alumni network is strong too. --Operations
The school is small enough that each student is not lost in a crowd, but large and innovative enough to be competitive with the top tier business schools. --Accounting
Location, reputation, and ranking were factors for choosing UCI, but also professionalism of staff and administration. While many of the professors were strong, some were worse than undergraduate instructors. In hindsight, I may have applied to a higher-ranked, more prestigious school that was less conveniently located. --Development & Acquisitions
Overall, the instructors kept very current in their areas of study and research and brought this into the classroom. Some classes were hampered by having too little class time to cover the breadth of material. This could either be an instructor weakness or a weakness of the program. --Marketing
[The program] had a great balance of instructors from not only just well published academic backgrounds, but also active and influentiallocal practitioners as well as current politicians and activists. --Strategy
Overall, a superior program which gave much consideration to our outside working schedules. Most important of all was a highly supportive staff that encouraged us to look "outside the box" and an Economics Department that truly shined. They have offered us the ability to enroll in future classes for free for the rest of our lives, and if I ever move closer to campus, I fully intend to take them up on that offer. The best educational experience of my life. --C.E.O.
I was with a small technology company that we sold to GeoCities/Yahoo in 1998. Following that experience, it was clear to me that an MBA was essential, especially if I planned to be effective at the executive management level in a large company. By making a 21-month, $52K investment, I've been able to break through that glass-ceiling and expand my own capabilities, allowing me to contribute far more. --Marketing
The administration of the program, particulalry in the first year, was below par. It improved in the second year as a result of personnel changes, but the entire "academia mentality" needs to be adjusted when dealing with Executive level students. --President
UC-Irvine provided top-quality instructors within a state-of-the-art classroom setting. The school provided a great curriculum of classes and offered outstanding electives. The Graduate School of Management staff provided excellent support to students. --Engineering Design and Development
By far the most useful benefit was the interaction with and the quality of the students. Our class was very diverse, and the interaction truly magnified the learning experience. Networks, friendhsips, and opportunities were developed. --Operations
