The school launched its award-winning Catalyst intranet, a database-driven Web site that delivers classroom content. All assignments, grades, schedules, club activities, and support resources are posted on Catalyst. An Electronic Library was created and made available to all faculty members and students. The school upgraded its network infrastructure to deliver switched 10/100 Mb connections to each network port. Permanent laptops were installed in all classrooms for visiting lecturers and presentations. The schools e-mail system was upgraded to Microsoft Exchange and mailboxes were provided for all students, including e-mail forwarding for life to all graduates. The network operating system was upgraded. An extensive high-speed wireless network was installed in all public places and classrooms. The school's infrastructure was updated to include gigabit Ethernet from its server closet to the campus backbone and gigabit cards were installed in core servers. A dedicated ITM server that will provide classroom access to top-tier business applications was purchased. The school is also partnering with campus resources to provide live broadcasts and a video library of GSM classes, TA sessions, and guest speakers.
