ALUMNI AFFAIRS

The B-school has awarded 1,015 executive MBA degrees, and 6,406 MBA degrees since its founding. It has 5,290 living MBA alumni, and 1 MBA clubs, where B-school alums can participate in school activities and alumni events.

115 EMBAs will graduate in 2001, compared to 79 EMBAs that graduated in 1996.

During the past 12 months, 14% of alumni gave to the school's fundraising efforts. They gave a median gift of U.S. $2,944, and a mean gift of U.S. $92. The school has not received a gift in excess of U.S. $10 million since 1999, and the B-school endowment is U.S. $49,000,000

Significant changes since 1999:
E-commerce has been added to the curriculum and the information technology content of courses has been increased. The New Orleans and Chile classes were brought together in Paris, France, for a course completed over the Internet using global study teams. Global team building was conducted in Paris to better integrate and facilitate the activities of the course.

Technology changes made over the past three years:
Added 2 e-mail stations in student lounge. Moved to a fully-switched 100 Mbps Ethernet network (from shared 10 Mbps Ethernet). Implemented Gigabit fiber-optic backbone building wide. New switching and production equipment in television studio. Enhanced editing equipment for television studio. Video duplication system in television studio. New video bulletin board system. New local area network server implementation. Wireless network building wide. New projectors in the classrooms.
