GRADUATE COMMENTS

Untitled (Instructors?) There seemed to be a great disparity in the level of quality of the instructors. Some of the instructors were the best I have ever had. Others were not so good. --Supply Chain

(Improvements?) More organized family involvement throughout the program. My program had a spousal program during the first week that we started and then that was it. --Marketing

Mandatory foreign language courses are one of the biggest strength of the program. In addition to building foreign language skills, they are critical in creating cultural awareness and sensitivity. Currently there are plans to limit or eliminate these courses. I am concerned that this will negatively impact the value of this program in the future. --Finance

Thuderbird was an excellent choice for me personally because of the "Global" aspect as well as the foreign language requirement. I wish to obtain a foreign assignment, and I feel that Thunderbird is the best preparation among all EMBA programs in the U.S. for those who wish to work abroad. --Operations

(Instructors?) Most of the professors really enjoyed having older, more experienced students in class. During lectures [they] were very skilled at getting us to participate and share our relevant real world business experiences. This enhanced everyone's learning. Almost all of the instructors were very understanding of our hectic schedules and were flexible with schedules - due dates, reading assignments etc. And each one was committed to helping us in whatever way possible - answering a question outside of class, setting up time to help a student having difficulty, etc. --Operations

(Improvements?) More interaction in study opportunities with parallel overseas MBA programs run by the school using internet tools, e.g. Netmeeting [or] video conferencing, to simulate a global business management team environment. --Finance

Some of the instructors were really organized in the way they conveyed the information. Some others were not at all organized, even though they were an expert in the subject. --Operations

The classroom experience can not be duplicated or improved. The mix of students, their experiences, the different backgrounds and cultures they came from, all added value to the experience. The teachers added to the learning by extracting these differences and discussing issues. --Marketing

I would reduce the emphasis on language grammar skills and replace this with more time on language speaking skills. --Marketing

Thunderbird needs to market their program more. They have an excellent, world-class program but many do not know about it. --Finance

I would choose Thunderbird again without hesitation. Its unique combination of world-class faculty and international focus combine to make it the only school worth considering for those wishing to pursue a career in international business. --Marketing
