GRADUATE COMMENTS

Untitled Program is tailored for busy executives. Top notch faculty delivers excellent value. Professors are knowledgeable and engaging. Administration is highly responsive to students' needs. I could not have chosen better. --Strategy

In my scholastic as well as professional career, I have attended hundreds of courses, seminars, and workshops. The faculty in the Stern EMBA are second to none. NYU's professors see it as an honor to be selected to teach in the EMBA because the students are more concerned with learning than they are with their GPA's. The only place I could question the strength of the curriculum was that, in striving to be at the cutting edge, it sometimes had to tread on unproven ground in the fields of technology and economics. Although we were exposed to some exciting concepts from an academic perspective, only time will tell their usefulness in practice. Even so, the courage of the administration to press the boundaries of business education should be respected if not applauded. --Strategy

The Stern program at NYU is a highly focused and specialized finance program that affords access to some of the leading finance professionals and faculty in the world. I gained valuable theoretical and practical knowledge that I know will assist in furthering my career. --Finance

Clearly, the majority of the instructors wanted to teach in the EMBA classes. They were enthusiastic, accessible and open to debate. They were open to discussion on emerging trends and workplace issues effecting classmates. This "real" world approach made the majority of what I learned in the classroom practical to my job. If there was a weakness, it would have been the lack of grade differentiation with a few of the professors. --Loss Control

My experience at NYU was excellent because of the diversity of my classmates. The students were diverse from a cultural, personal and professional stand point. I learned as much from the diverse student body as I did from the all-star faculty. --Mergers and Aquisitions

NYU offers the benefits of a large New York school, while still giving personal attention to each student. The faculty are excellent, and generally displayed an interest in the students much more so than I remember from my undergraduate days. Additionally, the administration did a fantastic job of coordinating the classes and content. --Strategy

(Improvements?) A 30 hour day! --Marketing

Definitely better to wait to have 10-15 years experience before pursing a masters degree. The Executive program offers so much more than a regular MBA: more experienced and mature students, ability to immediately apply the learning on the job, ability to challenge and debate issues based on real experience. --Marketing

Although EMBA instructors are quite busy in the corporate/consulting arena, they are committed to teaching and highly responsive to student requests for their time outside the classroom. --Strategy

Students enrolling in an EMBA program definitely have broader experience than full time students. While some students have strong financial experience, others have marketing expertise. Thus, the curriculum should be more customized as to students' experience and areas of interest. In other words, less core curriculum, more electives. --Business Development

Better use of technology for teaching, communicating, and research, from data ports at every desk to more online notes and study supplements, to better research access online. --Strategy
