Description: To enhance the traditional classroom methods, EMBA students complete two simulations, one at the beginning of each year. The first year of course work leads off with a behavioral simulation that emphasizes how individuals or teams craft and implement strategy for multiple product organizations. It looks at the communication patterns across divisions of an organization as well as how individuals exert influence in organizations and how teams resolve ethical dilemmas facing an organizations. Students begin the second year with the MarkStrat simulation. This simulation focuses on marketing strategy and emphasizes scenario planning, the allocation of scarce resources, the development of markets over time, and the development of analyzing competitors. More than half of EMBA classes include team projects.

Programs for spouses of EMBA participants
Yes
Description: Spouses and significant others are included in all social events and encouraged to participate in the many enrichment opportunities available to students, such as guest speaker presentations. Most importantly, significant others attend a panel discussion and reception during orientation where they meet current and former partners. While there, realistic expectations are set, support networks are built, and tools are provided for facing the challenging program years ahead. Spouses and significant others are also invited to join their partners during a portion of the 10-day EMBA international trip.
