The academic experience combined with business and personal relationships was exceptional. I have built a great network of colleagues and friends that I am sure will last a lifetime. I already have contacted both my graduating class and other graduating classes for help with various issues (job search for a friend, information on companies, etc.) --Marketing
From a cost/benefit and location perspective, Rutger's provided an excellent opportunity. I applied to both Wharton and Columbia as well and found that the curriculum was very similar. However, the distingusing difference was the caliber of the students. Unfortunately, since Rutger's is not a top tier school, they do not attract the top tier students. --Marketing
(Instructors?) The best had great ideas and worked at engaging and involving the class. They found ways to teach and interest us because of their own passion for the subject. The program reacted to feedback from students and bad instructors didn't last. --Human Resources
The program was current with developments in the field, the staff and educators were interested and excited about their work, and there was an interest in staying ahead of the curve. The group/study teams were a great benefit and enhanced the learning experience. --Attorney
The Rutgers program offered an outstanding curriculum particularly in the core courses which in my mind were - Micro/ Macro Economics, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Operations Management. The Leadership, Strategy and Management courses offered many real-life examples of issues faced by contemporary managers. These courses made me see the breadth of an organization, and its place in the global economy. The most compelling reason that I would definitely recommend Rutgers is that when I currently read the Wall Street Journal, I have a complete awareness of all of the environmental issues facing corporations at a much more granular level. Prior to taking the MBA, I simply read it. This is due to the outstanding instruction from the Economics courses. --Information Technology
Staying current in a rapidly changing business environment is always a challenge. Rutgers seems to overcome this in the program by including many guest speakers from industry. --Marketing
(Improvements?) Access to a game room to occassionally relieve some of the intensity would have been enjoyable! --Senior New Equipment Manager
I feel that this was time and money well spent. A true investment in my future and has changed my career path more than I thought possible. --Marketing
(Improvements?) Only less overall fatigue. Students were often tired from their own employment and home-life responsibilities in combination with Rutgers' rigorous EMBA program... but this is to be expected. --Supply Chain
EMBA programs are a good choice/investment if the company has a clear development plan for the employee. I was surprised that a number of students were allowed to attend with no true developmental goal in mind. --Marketing
(Improvements?) Absolutely nothing. The support staff at Rutgers was the best part of the experience and they prided themselves on insuring every aspect of every class day went off without a hitch. I've had the opportunity to talk to many of my associates that participated in EMBA and MBA programs alike, and none of them experienced the same type of camaraderie that our class did with the people that made everything happen behind the scenes. They were more like family than staff and in a program like this, that really does make all the difference. --Systems Engineering
