GRADUATE COMMENTS

Untitled The Katz Graduate School of Business was an overall, great program. The international study was a terrific experience and provided the students to experience the emerging economy in former communist countries. I would suggest this program to anyone who is ready for the challenge! --Operations

At times overall course coordination was poor with significant overlap/redundancy. However, majority of instructors were focussed on real-world applications/issues. --Anonymous

I thought the value of the education at the University of Pittsburgh was great. I liked the teachers, the structure of the program and the facilities. --Marketing EMBAs should have the best instructors the school has to offer. In some instances this was the case, however, in others it definitely was not. --Operations I got the best value for my money. My class was composed of senior executives with decision making authority and I had the opportunity to interact with them and learn as much from them as I did from my professors. The faculty was very knowledgeable and treated us a peers as opposed to just lecturing us. --CTO

The strengths were the instructors experience and their willingness to participate in discussions that were material to our own individual circumstances. The weakness, if any, was that sometimes the instructors could get intimidated, it seemed, by the strong opinions held by the class. --Anonymous

I felt the teachers were excellent and there was good mix of courses to choose from. The international trip was very educational and the administration of the school is very willing to work with the students and takes a personal interest in the program. (Improvements?) More detailed orientation at the start and effort to formulate a more individualized game plan with each student or groups of students with similar interests (eg. physicians, engineers) in terms of selecting course work more relevant to their fields and also assignments and field trips which would be optimal for them as far as possible. --Health care

(Improvements?) More balance. Some classes relied too heavily on student participation, which while crucial, could become especially tiresome when the same personalities dominated discussion. I think instructors could have paid more attention to actively involving a more varied sample of the class. --Consulting

Best experience of my educational life. The learning that took place between the group members and classmates in total was unbeliveable. I learned as much about myself, my abilities, limitations and goals as never before. I also learned the meaning of balance between work and family and how delicate, fragile and precious each are. I am more honest with myself and believe a better manager, father and husband. --Marketing
