Georgia State has always had a great reputation in Atlanta for their business school. They interact with the business community and bring those experiences to the classroom. My spouse had completed the EMBA program at Emory ten years earlier, so I have some sense of comparison with our local competitor. Georgia State provided a better value and experience for me. --Human Resources
The Management faculty at Georgia State is unparalleled. At Georgia State the Management faculty numbers in the hundreds. They have a much larger talent pool to pull from and the EMBA program gets the best of the best. This is in comparison to other Management programs in Atlanta where they have a limited number of faculty to choose from. --Marketing
The EMBA program was difficult but very applicable. I found I could use what I learned immediately in most cases. It enhanced my work from the beginning. The professors and my peers stimulated my thinking in different ways and I found myself jolted out of "the box". --Business Development
I have studied at some of the top schools in the world and found the GSU EMBA program to be on par. It appears that GSU provided us with only their best faculty and selected their EMBA students with care , keeping the quality of learning high. Note: I am not an easy man to please. --Manager of Construction Services
I think moving more towards actual hands-on learning in a simulated business environment is a next step for GSU. Books and lectures are fine; however, I think that putting us in the role of the CEO or Board of Directors would be even more engaging in learning about outcomes on decisions being made. --General Management
Most professors had real-world experience (through consulting or previous jobs) and could relate concepts and theory to real-world applications. For the most part, the professors had tremendous respect for the EMBA students (which is certainly different from undergrad school). This mutual respect created a very healthy learning environment. No major weaknesses come to mind. --Risk Management
(Improvements?) I would recommend more focus on some of the skills required for executives such as working with the media, public speaking, ethics, etc. --Sales
Great practical skill....great ability to teach...good humor and savvy with executive level students --Operations
The study group structure worked well for me, as did the schedule of every other Friday --Operations
