My perception of RSM teaching was that it employed some Erasmus University lecturers for base courses such as quantitative techniques. These lecturers were of variable quality. The faculty and virtual faculty lecturers they used for more meaty/interesting courses were, with very few exceptions, excellent. --Operations
I was pleasantly surprised by the teaching methods and the fact that Rotterdam School of Management succeeded in bringing together a very high level group of international students. They fully utilized this diverse skill base in order to let us learn from each other. Further, I was satisfied about the way they brought together industry professionals and professors to cover each field of management. --General Manager
(Instructors?) A strength is that many of them had lot's of practical experience in the field, and some of them allowed us to take a completely different look at business problems. Weaknesses was that the quality of instructors was not consistent in the program. We had a few really bad instructors, and that's a lost opportunity. --Strategy
(Instructors?) Strength: Most of them were full time consultants, earning their money in their field of expertise, offering real practical examples in different business sectors. Weakness: As a result, some were not experienced teachers, however the above advantage outweighed, by far, the disadvantage mentioned here. --Corporate Planning
It's not only a door opener to better jobs, it also enters you into the powerful alumni organization; apart from learning management skills from the very best professors... --Marketing
International mix of people from around the world attending the RSM EMBA is one of it's biggest strengths. The two (week long) study trips abroad (Canada and South Africa) were very much a highlight of the program, as well as the full-time weeks in Rotterdam. --Marketing
Well organized, excellent logistical support, clear ambition to improve in all areas. I would like to share a personal experience. I delivered a baby in the 6th month into my MBA. Despite this, I was determined to go ahead with the course. Although RSM was initially skeptical about whether I would be able to combine work, home, a baby, and an MBA (understandably so), they totally supported my decision to go ahead and helped me in every way they could. I was able to graduate with my classmates with a pretty good grade, thanks in part to RSM. --Senior Consultant
(Improvements?) There could have been more emphasis on the "human" side of management. --Strategy
(Suggestions?) Better food. --Business Consultant
The RSM is a business school with a "down to earth culture," and a pragmatic and intelligent approach that succeeds to offer an environment entailing an appealing well balanced business program, excellent professors and perfect matching colleagues from various disciplines. --General Management
