Case Western has the best program in Ohio and that is why I chose it. If I were to open up my choice beyond the geography of this area, I would consider top ten schools (Columbia, Harvard, etc). However, the best part of this program was being able to integrate the learning with my current and future responsibilities. Case Western did an excellent job of bringing the learning to life and solidifying it with immediate real life applications. --Sales
CWRU has a long-standing reputation in the area and it lives up to it. I feel as though I received as good an education as anywhere I could have gone. --Engineering
I expect that instructors for an EMBA program, should be able to combine academic and work experiences and be able to interact effectively with students in an EMBA program. By definition, these students have ten years of management experience and therefore have their own busy experience, savvy and insights. A few of the faculty simply did not have the ability to effectively interact with and instruct experienced business people. They were in the minority. --Marketing
There were classes that required a tremendous amount of work and effort. Almost always, after the initial shock of the workload wore off, the excitement of what we were doing took over and buffered the burden. The work was NEVER just busy work. It was always new, challenging, and interesting. --Strategy
Some of the students accepted into the program simply did not belong in an EMBA program. The nature of the interaction and expectation from the students requires, in my opinion, people that have legitimate management and business experience. A few of the students did not have that, or they were not able to translate what experience they did have into meaningful learnings and insight for the rest of the class in an EMBA setting. --Marketing
(Improvements?) Additional views from those in the business community. Even though the Friday speaker series provided insight from top CEO's, additional insight from lower level managers would have been valuable. --Manufacturing
