The MBA program at the Eller School is unique in that the admissions committee looks at the "big picture" in regards to selecting MBA candidates. Though the courses could be more tightly integrated, I did find a substantial amount of information that will enable me to make better-informed decisions. If I had to do it all over again, I would. --Information Technology
The Eller School stands out from other MBA programs as it has small class sizes, 100 students per class. I was able to get to know all of my classmates and the faculty was accessible and approachable. Unlike other top programs, the students at the Eller School are much more cooperative than [they are] competitive, which contributed to the excellence of my MBA experience. --Operations
Under the new associate dean, the program will go far. I'm in the JD/MBA program so the job search is complicated. I don't fault our placement director for anything, but I would have liked some career placement assistance. My impression of the school during the first year was marred by unprofessional methods used by some professors. To be sure, they are the exceptions and not the rule. The program is much better during the second year, and I expect the program to continue its improvement. --Anonymous
The school has a lot of direction! They have the commitment and the faculty in place to be a top 10 school. The student body isn't tapped enough for their input and experiences as they relate to class. I had an excellent experience overall! --Finance
I felt that the first year of the MBA program was outstanding. My only constructive criticism is the number of elective offerings in the second year. I would have liked to have seen more operations management courses offered. --Operations
The small and tight-knit community that results [from the program] are major strengths. There are ample opportunities for leadership, teamwork, and communications skill building. This program has consistently made major improvements in the past few years and will continue to do so. At this point and time, it is probably under-rated. --Anonymous
It's a great program that is only getting better. One of its strongest points is that it allows the student to customize his/her learning. Students are not required to commit to a concentrated program, but allowed to be as broad or focused as they want. Also, through consulting projects set up both by the students and through class, valuabbusiness
le "real life" experience is gained in many different areas (i.e. finance, operations, marketing, etc.). Such projects focus on businesses and entrepreneurs within the Tucson community, providing valuable consulting services to those that could and could not afford "professional" consulting. The students receive no direct monetary compensation and any money received (donations from clients) goes to student run organizations. All money received is in the form of a donation from clients. --Finance
The University of Arizona MBA program is of high quality in terms of the students, faculty, and staff. Coming here was one of the best decisions of my life. Tucson is also a great place to live! If we were to analyze all of the top MBA programs in the country on the basis of return on investment, I'm sure that the University of Arizona MBA Program would be among the very top. --Information Technology
Even [with] all the program flaws, I thought that the first year core was useful, because it effectively covered all the aspects of the business scope with fresh experiences from faculty. The second year was also great, but the school was short in supplying an adequate quantity of electives. The explanation is that faculty has been leaving the school for better jobs in private companies or colleges. A huge black hole in the school is its placement office. The admissions office admitted a diverse group of students but is not meeting their job search needs. This situation was similar to planning the construction of a huge building without including a parking lot! The office's policies still remain bureaucratic. On a personal note, the staff was always friendly, kicked back, and open. I'm absolutely satisfied about them all. --Anonymous
There is no other MBA program that I would have wanted to attend. The program at Arizona met my every need and exceeded my expectations. Going back to school to get my MBA at the University of Arizona is one of the best decisions I have ever made. --Operations
