Phil Mintz

Phil Mintz is news editor for BusinessWeek.com. Phil Mintz joined BusinessWeek in 2005 and became editor of BusinessWeek.com's Business Schools channel in 2006. During his tenure the Business Schools channel won two National Magazine Awards. Before coming to BusinessWeek, Mintz was a reporter and editor at Newsday, the Long Island newspaper, covering local, national, and business news. He was a member of the Newsday staff awarded the Pulitzer Prize in 1997 for coverage of the TWA Flight 800 plane crash off Long Island. Mintz is a graduate of Queens College in New York.
