Frances Beinecke
Frances Beinecke is the president of the
Natural Resources Defense Council, a national nonprofit environmental advocacy organization with 1.3 million members. NRDC focuses on curbing global warming and the tide of toxic chemicals, promoting clean energy, protecting oceans and endangered wild places, and promoting the greening of China. Beinecke has degrees from Yale College and the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies, and she is co-author of
Clean Energy Common Sense: An American Call to Action on Global Climate Change (Rowman & Littlefield, 2009).
