Rafiq Dossani

Rafiq Dossani is a senior research scholar at the Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center of Stanford University and is responsible for directing its South Asia Initiative. He teaches courses in the development, religion, and politics of South Asia. A specialist on sectoral policy reform, he has advised the Indian government on telecommunications, venture capital, energy, and rural access to information technology. His book, India Arriving was published by Amacom Books in 2007 (http://www.stanford.edu/~dossani1/index_files/IndiaArriving.html). He has degrees from St. Stephen's College, Delhi; the Indian Institute of Management at Calcutta, and Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill.
