Gillian Madill is the genetic technologies campaigner at Friends of the Earth in Washington, D.C. She previously held positions at the Center for Genetics & Society, researching issues of biotechnology accountability related to the social justice implications of new human genetic technologies. She worked as a laboratory research intern at the University of California, San Francisco, and as an executive assistant in a biotechnology venture capital firm. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, where she studied bioethics, focusing on the ethics of emerging human biotechnologies.
