Emily Thornton is a senior writer for BusinessWeek. Previously, she was an associate editor, investment banking editor, and Tokyo correspondent. Before BusinessWeek, she was a correspondent for the Far Eastern Economic Review based in Hong Kong. Prior to that, she was a Tokyo correspondent for Fortune. A Loeb Award and Business Journalist of the Year finalist, she has twice won awards for feature writing from the American Society of Business Publication Editors. Thornton is a graduate of Princeton University. She is also a 2000 executive MBA graduate of Temple University.
