Christopher Palmeri is a senior correspondent in BusinessWeek's Los Angeles bureau. Prior to BusinessWeek, Palmeri was the Southwest bureau chief at Forbes, based in Houston. He joined Forbes as a fact-checker and worked on its annual list of the richest Americans and helped create its list of the highest-paid entertainers.
