Catherine T. Yang is a correspondent for BusinessWeek in Washington, D.C., where she covers economic policy. Yang joined BusinessWeekâ€™s Washington bureau in September, 1987, and covered finance and banking. From 1991 until 1997, she covered legal affairs, including civil rights and immigration. Prior to BusinessWeek, Yang worked at USA Today. Before that, she was a reporter at Forbes. Yang holds a bachelorâ€™s degree from Yale University and a masterâ€™s in international economics from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. She has served as an officer and national director of the Asian American Journalists Assn.
