Neil Gross was named senior editor for BusinessWeek in June 2000, covering science and technology. In 2007, he was also charged with overseeing all science content for BusinessWeek.com.
Gross joined BusinessWeek in 1987 as the technology correspondent in the Tokyo bureau. In 1994 he moved to New York as technology editor, and was promoted to associate editor in 1997. Before coming to BusinessWeek, he was a reporter in the Tokyo office of the Time-Life News Service.
Gross is a two-time winner of the Computer Press Assn. Award, and his stories have won several other journalism awards.
Gross holds a BA and an MA in Middle Eastern Studies from Columbia University, and an MS from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. He was a recipient of the East Asian Fellowship at Columbia Journalism School in 1982-83.
