Nanette Byrnes

Bio

Nanette Byrnes has been a senior writer at BusinessWeek since March 2003, specializing in corporate finance and management. She was previously associate editor, Corporations department editor, and a finance correspondent in the Los Angeles bureau. Among her BusinessWeek cover stories are "Confused About Earnings?," "Accounting in Crisis," "The Good CEO," "The Rise and Fall of Dennis Kozlowksi," and "Is Wilbur Ross Crazy?" In addition to BusinessWeek, Byrnes' work has appeared in Smart Money and Financial World and on National Public Radio. Byrnes is a recipient of the Gerald Loeb Award for Distinguished Business and Financial Journalism, the New York Press Club Award for Political Coverage, and the Deadline Club Award for Excellence in Business Reporting, among others. She is a contributor to BusinessWeek.com's Management IQ blog, and has been interviewed by CNN, CNBC, FOX, NPR and other outlets. She holds a bachelor's degree from Johns Hopkins University.
