Mehring is an economics writer for BusinessWeek. He joined the magazine in 2000 and writes about U.S. and international economics. He also contributes regularly to BusinessWeek's SmallBiz magazine and blogs about being a working parent for BusinessWeek.com. Prior to the magazine, Mehring worked on antitrust cases at the Federal Trade Commission. Mehring has an MBA from New York University.
