#IGotIn: Newly Admitted MBAs Celebrate on Twitter


On Dec. 18, a blogger who publishes under the name the Poetic Quant celebrated his acceptance to Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management by posting a .gif of the professional soccer coach Jose Mourinho sliding to his knees in an expensive-looking suit and pumping his fists in celebration.

That might not have rated as a notable reaction among, say, Beyoncé fans reacting to the singer’s recent surprise album, but for a prospective MBA, it was downright exuberant. With admissions officers at top schools, including Kellogg and UCLA’s Anderson School of Management, sending acceptances this week, most newly admitted students seem to prefer to celebrate in private.

Some soon-to-be-B-schoolers took to Twitter to share their good news. There are a handful of ways to tweet the good news, ranging from the passive to the positively brash. Here are some options:
