When food and beverage makers trumpet seasonal products, they’re not talking about the kind you find at a farmers’ market. Many produce holiday varieties starting just before Thanksgiving—a great incentive for consumers to cozy up by the fire and indulge. And seasonal flavors can make even the most familiar products seem fresh. This merrymaking also benefits grocery stores, whose strongest quarter is from October to December.
