Do More Health Coaches Make for Less Obesity?

Residents of states with lower obesity rates tend to have the most help maintaining a healthy lifestyle, but simply having a larger spandex-and-supplement crowd doesn’t make for slimmer citizens. You’ll notice that fitter states with a higher density of health coaches are also some of the wealthiest, while the inverse applies to states blighted by obesity; socioeconomic status has a much greater influence on health than the amount of professional gym rats hanging around.
