In Spain, Chicken Will Trump Ham This Holiday Season

Pork is a Spanish staple, particularly during the holidays when families buy cured legs of jamón for Christmas. With pork prices soaring and unemployment stuck at 25 percent, many Spaniards are trading down to chicken. This year, they’ll pass more drumsticks than ham hocks.
