I look at some of the companies—besides Apple (AAPL)—that have a lot riding on the success of the new iPhone 5. That includes Samsung (SSNLF), Sharp (SHCAF), LG (LGEAF), Qualcomm (QCOM), and Sony (SNE). The redesigned phone, which will be unveiled in San Francisco on Wednesday, is expected to have a bigger screen, a thinner body, and new mapping software, reports Bloomberg.
