The Friday Makeunder

A suit is a necessary investment, as one is usually worn during meetings or interviews. Suits can be as costly as they are without personality. For Teresa Izzo-Dortch, a New York-based product development manager, her commute and profession dictate her fashion. “Suits are boring but a necessary staple to have,” she says. Luckily for Izzo-Dortch, her creative profession allows room for creative attire, but you don’t want to show up looking like you’re ready for happy hour. Maximizing one’s use of a suit is about fashion triage—breaking it into two separate pieces and building a wardrobe around the pieces.
