Campaign 2012

Obama's Wall Street Rainmakers

As of Dec. 31, Barack Obama had raised $125 million for his campaign, topping Mitt Romney’s $56 million. Wall Street supporters account for a big chunk of that. On March 1, Obama’s financial industry friends will host a $35,800-a-plate dinner for him in New York. Although surveys suggest more bankers are backing Romney, apparently these financiers—who have raised $50,000 to $500,000 apiece for the President—didn’t get the memo.
