COMMENTARY
And the stock market winner of the century is: the Nasdaq Composite. As of
Dec. 28, it had rocketed a breathtaking 81.2%, on top of 1998's 42.6% rise.
Not since 1915 has a major market index been able to mount such a meteoric
rise. Back then, the Dow Jones industrials jumped 81.5%. But that came on the
heels of a 5% drop in 1914.
