`Duracell looks abroad for more juice'

In the story "Duracell looks abroad for more juice" (The Corporation, Dec. 21) we misstated Duracell International Inc.'s share of the U.S. retail market for consumer alkaline batteries. It has a 45% share.

1992. Although 2,000 complaints are very few given the millions of contacts made, the association and its members are striving to reduce complaints.

The association supported the passage of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, which protects consumers, and worked to see that attorneys engaged primarily in debt collection were also covered by the act. In addition, the ACA gives more than 200 seminars each year to educate collectors about professional conduct and compliance with the law.
