Czech arms and aircraft company Omnipol AS has acquired radar maker ERA AS, a subsidiary of U.S.-based company SRA International, Inc.
ERA said in a statement that Omnipol had acquired a 100 percent stake in the company, which is based in the Czech city of Pardubice, 100 kilometers (60 miles) east of Prague.
SRA International, based in Fairfax, Virginia, bought ERA in 2008.
ERA's passive surveillance system, known as "Vera," is touted as being capable of detecting stealth jets.
The company's systems have been in use in some 100 civilian and military airports in almost 50 countries around the globe.
Vladislav Hofman, Managing Director for ERA said: "This strategic partnership solidifies ERA's position in the global market."
